November 1, 2009 - Of all the songs Alex has shared with me over the years, this particular song is just so hauntingly beautiful that it has become a favorite of mine. I hated that nobody else has heard it so I asked Alex if I could please share it with you guys to celebrate our 5th Birthday here. He very generously agreed and I'm so happy he did. December 4, 2006 - For those fans who are new to Alex's music, I wanted to put up the Christmas song The Calling did in 2002 called "Carol of The Bells". It's a beautiful version of the song. It was on a Holiday Compilation CD from Target. "Carol of The Bells " (right click and select "save target as"). December 24, 2004 - A Holiday Gift for you! Alex sent me the most wonderful gift and he said I could share it if I want ……So here is my first download for the site. It's the song Alex wrote for Jennifer called "Hold On To You" (right click and select "save target as") and it's the very original version that Alex says "was recorded live at my house over 3 years ago on a little shitty 4 track tape recorder with a built in mic. I was able to play and sing the song through once, add a guitar solo, put some little back up vocal, and that was about it!"
He also shared this sweet story about how the song came to be. "After a year of dating in 2001, a few days before I played on TRL and did Regis for the first time, I broke up with Jennifer, cause it was just too damn hard to do my job and have a girlfriend. I was a mess and I regretted it like crazy for weeks afterwards, cause I knew she was the one for me...so I won her back by writing this song, flying to Florida, finding her and performing it for her in the middle of some mini mall, and telling her I loved her for the first time. Yah, it worked;)"

December 28, 2009 - Alex recently recorded a cover of Coldplay's "The Scientist" in a video on his youtube page. Many of the fans requested an MP3 of the recording to add to their players so a fan on the Loft kindly made one for us and you can download it here.

March 28, 2009 - This month I added an MP3 from the "Things Will Go My Way" Single. I get lots of requests for the extended original version of that song and since you can't buy the single anymore I'm adding it here.
March 28, 2008 - This month I added an MP3 from the final Calling concert in Temecula, Ca in 2005. The video is on youtube but a fan from my message boards (Thanks Dawnie) converted it to an audio file for us. It's a cover of U2's With or Without You that leads right into WYWG. Great performance!

October 13, 2007 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMB.COM!! We're celebrating the 3rd Birthday of this site a bit early because I will be traveling when the actual birthday happens. To celebrate I am uploading the audio from a full Calling concert from 2004. There are 11 songs so every day from now until I leave for LA you will be able to download a song from a concert in 2004. This recording is from the Radio Station and I am hoping enough time has passed that I am ok sharing it with everyone. It's great quality and if you've never been to a Calling concert you can experience it through these MP3s. It was one of my favorite shows. June 28, 2007 - This month I thought I would add The Calling's cover of the song "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" that they recorded for the movie "Sweet Home Alabama". I've received several requests for it.
March 28, 2007 - This month I thought I would add Alex's cover of The Clash's London Calling as a few fans have asked for it.
February 28, 2007 - For this month I thought I would add some of my favorite MP3s for those fans who might have missed them. I've been getting a lot of requests from people for Alex's performance at Smash Hits in 2002 of WYWG so you can find that one here as well as a funny little clip from Brazil of WYWG where Alex sort of forgot to sing. It's really cute and not many people have heard it so I thought I would share it with you. I also added an acoustic version of "Anything" that Alex did at Sirius Radio in April of 2004 that is one of my favorites.
November 28, 2005 - Although this isn't an exclusive I find myself listening to this cover all the time. It's an acoustic version of "One" by U2 that Alex did on Live from The Lounge in August of 2002. It's probably one of the best cover songs I have ever heard so I wanted to put it on my site.
